Biography
Ravindran Nekoo was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in 1995.  He has been in active legal practice since then.  He has been involved in legal aid work for the same period.  Starting off as a volunteer lawyer at the Legal Aid Centre, Ravi Nekoo moved on to hold various positions at the Kuala Lumpur Legal Aid Centre.  In 2005, Ravi Nekoo was made a Secretary and subsequently he was made the Chairperson of the Bar Council Legal Aid Centre (Kuala Lumpur), a position he held from 2006 to 2008.  This year, Ravi Nekoo was appointed the Deputy Chairperson of the National Legal Aid Subcommittee.

Ravi Nekoo has represented the Malaysian Bar and presented numerous papers on various issues concerning legal aid.  In 2008, his paper on Legal Aid Reform was submitted to the Federal Government for consideration. 

In court, Ravi Nekoo has undertaken public interest litigation and represented legal aid clients in matters concerning housing rights and religious issues.  He had also conducted criminal defence for the impecunious.
