At Florida Legal Services, serving as staff attorney litigating low-wage sector lawsuits involving wage non-payment, occupational and housing safety class actions on behalf of citizens and foreign nationals, including temporary guest workers.

At the Maryland Legal Aid Bureau, served as supervising attorney of the Bureau's statewide litigation and outreach efforts on behalf of Maryland and Delaware's migrant and seasonal farmworkers.  Advocated on behalf of farmworkers in state and federal courts, and in community and administrative forums, and oversaw farmworker educational outreach in every Maryland and Delaware county.  Also, was a member of the Bureau's Statewide Committee on Services for People with Limited-English Proficiency and the primary coordinator of Spanish-language data for its Statewide Needs Assessment Project.

At Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid, served as managing attorney for the Tons/Civil Litigation Division.  Specialized in family law services for victims of domestic violence, criminal justice reform and immigration.

At the University of Chicago, worked as a student law clerk with the Mandel Legal Aid Clinic, in a clinical project that sought to improve police services for under-privileged Chicago communities through litigation and grassroots organizing.
