Legal Advice

Release date:2025.08.22

Updated date:2025.10.02

Legal advice is important because it gives people early access to professional information before they go to court so they can evaluate litigation risks, helping minimize disputes.

If you have not yet received court documents, it is recommended that you seek legal consultation first.

Do you have any legal issues and would like to get free advice from a lawyer?

The Taiwan Legal Aid Foundation (LAF) uses Google Meet videoconferencing technology to provide free legal advice for English-speaking foreigners who are currently living in Taiwan. This service will be a one-off advice session for your case and must be arranged by appointment beforehand.

If you would like to use this service, please fill in the English Legal Advice Request Form and we will arrange a time for an online legal advice session.

Service Details:

  1. Availability : Every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday afternoon
  2. Session times : 13:50, 14:40, and 15:30
  3. Duration : Up to 40 minutes per session
  4. Please note that the service will NOT be available on national holidays and during LAF quarterly meetings.
