To ensure high-quality advice for non-Mandarin speakers, we require both interpreters and lawyers to join our online advice sessions via Google Meet. Therefore, prior appointments are necessary for administrative arrangements.
If you need immediate assistance without an appointment, you may use our general advice service, which is provided only in Mandarin. You can access this service if you can communicate in Mandarin independently or bring your own interpreter. However, please note that the duration of the general advice service is half that of the service dedicated to non-Mandarin speakers.
Video legal consultations for non-Mandarin speakers are available :
- Availability : Every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday afternoon
- Session times : 13:50, 14:40, and 15:30
- Duration : Up to 40 minutes per session
- Please note that the service will NOT be available on national holidays and during LAF quarterly meetings.

We currently offer services in English, Japanese, Tagalog, Indonesian, and Vietnamese.
As mentioned in Q1, our dedicated service for non-Mandarin speakers requires advanced booking. If you urgently need legal advice and cannot wait, you may consider the following general legal advice services, which are provided in Mandarin:
- Face-to-face legal advice at outreach service points :
- Services are available either in person or via videoconference.
- You can find a list of our service points on our Mandarin webpage (Point 6Service point inquiry) .
- Please select drop-in service (“On-site queuing 現場排隊”) points that do not require an appointment.
- Telephone legal advice :
- If your legal issue falls under employment, family, or consumer debt law, you may call (02) 412-8518, press 2, then press 1 to receive a phone consultation.
Since both services (1) and (2) are conducted in Mandarin, please use them only if you can speak Mandarin yourself or if you can arrange for an interpreter to accompany you or call on your behalf.
You can apply for legal aid, which may allow us to assign a lawyer to draft legal documents or handle your case if you meet our means and merits test criteria . To apply, please call (02) 412-8518, press 1, and a staff member will assist you in scheduling an online appointment at a branch office .
